AlgoChronicle (the website at algochronicle.com and its Android and iOS apps) is a free DSA learning site run by Srujan Chidarla. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can delete it. Short version: you can use everything without an account; if you create one, we keep your progress and reminder settings so they follow you across devices — nothing is sold or used for ads.
Without an account
Your solved problems, reviews and learning-step ticks are saved only in your browser (local storage). They never leave your device unless you sign in.
With an account
When you sign up (with email and password, or with Google) we store:
- your email address and display name (and profile photo if you use Google);
- your learning progress: solved problems, review dates and learning-step ticks;
- your reminder settings: email / push on or off, reminder hours and time zone.
Accounts are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and the data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore. Only you can read or change your own data.
Notifications and email
If you turn on notifications, your browser or device gives us a push address (a random endpoint from Google, Apple or Mozilla). We use it only to send your daily problem, the evening topic lesson, review reminders and a one-time welcome. Turn notifications off in your browser or app settings, or in your account, at any time.
Reminder emails (if you enable them) are sent through our email provider, Resend, to the address on your account.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no selling or sharing your data.
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
- Your solutions are written on LeetCode / NeetCode — we never see your code.
Third-party content
Problem pages embed YouTube videos and link to LeetCode, NeetCode, HackerRank and GitHub. Those sites have their own privacy policies when you visit them or play a video.
Deleting your data
Sign in and open your account → Delete account. This removes your account and all progress stored with it immediately. Progress saved only in your browser stays there until you clear your browser data. You can also email us to delete it for you — see how to delete your account.
Children
AlgoChronicle is meant for learners aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13.
